Interactive Team Chase Event Course Walks

Following various comments (from competitors, organisers, and those new to team chasing), we here at teamchasing.co.uk have decided to try and make available a range of interactive course walks hopefully for all events (co-operation & help required!). This has been done with the intention of providing a visual description of a course, allowing competitors to have a better idea of the type of course they are entering and what they will be expected to complete. The aim of these interactive walks is to hopefully show the standard and presentation of jumps, type of ground and 'feel' of events by allowing competitors to view previous years events in detail.

If organisers could get us photos and a map of the current years event in time then it may well be possible to produce the course walk in advance of the event!!

To use the interactive course walk, simply click the link on the left of this page of the course you would like to view, and an interactive map will open up in a pop up window. This new window will show you the map of the course you want to look at, and by moving the mouse over a fence number will bring up the jump corresponding to that number. To view the next fence simply move the mouse away from the fence you are on and on to the next fence number, and a picture of that fence will be shown.

We are hoping to be able to provide a number of interactive course walks to assist competitors, though the availability of these will depend on resources (people available to photograph fences at the events volunteers welcome) and event organisers.

This will be a work in progress during 2009 and currently there is only one course walk available as an example for people to view. If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to post on the teamchasing.co.uk message board.

Regards
Mick & Co.
