- Three refusals at any one fence or five refusals in total will eliminate the horse and rider. If they continue, their team will be eliminated.
- After two falls a competitor must retire. If they continue their team will be eliminated.
- If, at any time, before or during the competition, a horse appears to be sick or exhausted it may be eliminated on the authority of the Veterinary Officer or an Official on the course.
- Competitors must jump fences in numerical order and leave all red flags on the right and white flags on the left. Any horse taking the wrong course will be eliminated. If an eliminated rider rejoins their team, then that team will be eliminated.
- Any horse eliminated or retiring must leave the course at a walk.
- A time limit will be set for the completion of the course. Any team whose first three members exceed this time will be eliminated and must retire from the course. Any team rider overtaken by a member of a following team must retire.
- No horse is allowed to compete more than once in any class. Horses may compete in two Classes.
- In the event of a tie, the prize money will be divided.
- Hunting Dress or Team Uniform must be worn. All teams members must wear British Standard crash helmets and body protectors to the current approved British Safety Standards.
- Competitors may exercise their horses only in the area provided.
- Riders and Owners of horses must obey any order or direction given by an Authorised Official of the Event.
- Please telephone the Secretary to declare and to obtain starting times on Thursday 27th October, 2005 between 7.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. Failure to declare will be taken as intention to withdraw. Car Passes will be sent on receipt of a S.A.E. In the event of a team withdrawing before their allotted starting time, there will be no refund of or against Entry Fees.
- The order of running will be drawn and any team or rider failing to start at their appointed time. For any reason, will be eliminated and their entry fees forfeit.
- The Organisers reserve the following rights:
- To cancel or postpone the event for any reason they see fit. In the event of a postponement, no entry fees will be refunded.
- Withhold any prize if there are insufficient entries.
- Refuse any entry without stating a reason.
- Alter the advertised times of the event.
- Alter the course or omit any obstacle at any time before or during the competition.
- Eliminate any rider or riders not adhering to these Rules or failing to follow the directions of the Officials.
- In the event of cancellation, the following refunds of Entry Fees will be made. Classes 1, 2 and 3 - a refund, less an administration charge of £10 per team, will be made.
- The Organisers and Landowners will not accept any liability for accidents, damage, injury to horses, riders, owners or spectators or any other property whatsoever. All vehicles are parked at owners risk.
- Small children must be kept off the course and under control of a responsible adult at all times.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Team Captains must declare their teams 30 minutes prior to their appointed starting time. Teams must report to the Collecting Ring 10 minutes prior to their appointed starting time.
- The Course will be open for inspection from 10.00 a.m. on Saturday 29th October, 2005.
- It is a requirement that all participants carry Third Party Insurance for not less than £5 million. It is strongly recommended that all Participants have Personal Accident Insurance.
