Team Chasing - Fernie 2005 - Qualification Criteria

The top two teams in a Goring Hotel “Open Qualifier” at an Open Team Chase following the 2004 Championships (Ie in late Spring or Autumn 2004 or Spring 2005) will qualify for The Goring Hotel National Team Chase Championships 2005 as of right except where four or less teams start (when there will be a maximum of one qualifier).

In the event that either of the top two teams at an “Open Qualifier” have already qualified for the Goring Hotel National Championships, the criteria will apply to the next best teams. Therefore the top two teams to complete who have not already qualified elsewhere will qualify for the National Championships, provided they finish in the top twelve places of the Goring Hotel “Open Qualifier” event.

Any team competing in the 2005 Goring Hotel National Team Chase Championships may only run under the same name as the team that qualified. Three riders must have satisfactorily completed an Open event since 1 January 2003. The fourth member must be able to demonstrate that he/she is suitably experienced and capable of competing in the National Team Chase Championship. At least two of the team members’ horses similarly must have completed an Open event since 1st January 2003. Riders of the other two horses must be able to demonstrate that their horses are suitably experienced and capable of competing in the National Championships.
