RULES:
  1. Teams will consist of a maximum of four horses and riders. No rider may compete in the Team Chase Championship, who has taken part in an unaffiliated cross-country team event during the current season. Events sanctioned by the Governing Body, The British Horse Society, The Riding Clubs and The Pony Club are exempt from this rule.

  2. All competitors must obey the orders of the Starter and the time for each Team will be taken from the drop of the starter's flag and end as the third competitor crosses the finishing line.

  3. No horse may compete more than once in each class.

  4. Teams must jump all fences between the red and white flags as per course plan.

  5. The number of refusals shall not exceed three at any one fence, or five on the course per horse, when the competitor shall be eliminated and must leave the course at once. Any individual member will disqualify the team for an abuse of these rules. Competitors must make way for faster teams - obstruction could mean elimination. Falls and refusals will be penalised by time only.

  6. A nominated Steward or Stewards, who must be mounted, shall be appointed to stop unfit or exhausted horses from continuing. Such an official or officials, who must be readily identifiable, shall be appointed at every event.

  7. If at any time before or during the competition a horse appears to be sick, lame or exhausted it may be eliminated on the authority of the Veterinary Surgeon or the Officials on the course. Any horse eliminated or retired must leave the course at walk.

  8. Riders should wear hunting dress or dress appropriate to their teams. All riders (including grooms) must wear crash hats, which comply with the British Safety Standards, whilst mounted at the event. Back protectors are recommended.

  9. Any team or any other persons wishing to lodge an objection must first deposit £10 with the Secretary and make their objection in writing within ten minutes of the last competitor completing the course (or being eliminated). The £10 deposit will be refunded if the objection is up held.

  10. In the event of a tie the appropriate prize money will be divided.

  11. The organises reserve the right to :-

    1. Withhold the prize money because of insufficient declared entries.
    2. Alter the advertised times.
    3. Refuse any entry with or without reason.
    4. Alter the course or leave out any obstacle before or during the competition.
    5. Eliminate any competitor not adhering to the rules.

  12. The Judges' decision will be final at all times.

  13. The Organisers do not accept liability for any accident or damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, grooms, ground spectators or any other person, animal or property on the ground. All cars parked at owners' risk. No responsibility accepted for damage to or loss from cars parked on the premises.
