Team Chasing - South & West Wilts 2005

The South and West Wilts Hunt are having their first team chase for a while. It is to be held on Sunday 16th October at Lower Leigh Farm, East Knoyle, Wiltshire. As it is a non-qualifier they will be holding under 14 and under 16 team events, so that the young can get involved, as well as novice, intermediate and open.

In March a Scurry for the hunt was held over 2.5 miles and 30 jumps,consisting of blackthorn hedges, tiger traps and timber jumps at Lower Leigh Farm, which proved to be a huge success. There were 83 entries and there were a maximum of 14 per race – so it was more like a point to point than a scurry. The under 14’s were field mastered to avoid a cavalry charge – they LOVED it. The team Chase will be pretty much over the same course, with one or two alterations.
