BELVOIR TEAM CHASE SCHEDULE 2006

SPECIAL PRIZES

will be given in each class provided that sponsorship can be obtained. Confirmation will be posted at the Secretary’s tent, and teams are requested to indicate eligibility on the entry form.

Class 1.

THE NOVICE CLASS. Start 9.30 a.m. For teams of 4, 3 to count. About 1 1/2 miles & around 27 INVITING fences, approximately 3'6". For horses 14.2hh and over and riders 16 and over. The fastest team wins, but there will be a special prize for the team nearest to an Optimum Time (See Rule 2b).
ENTRY FEE: £44 per Team. Declaration Fee £20 per Team. Entries limited to the first 60.

The winning team will receive the PEARCE CHALLENGE TROPHY and 4 replicas.
The first BELVOIR team will receive the BELVOIR TROPHY.

Class 2. ALLCOMERS OPEN CLASS: Start 1:00 p.m. About 1 3/4 miles & around 29 fences,
approximate height 3’6’’ to 3’9”. For teams of 4, 3 to count. For horses 14.2hh and over, riders 16 and over.
ENTRY FEE: £60 per Team. Declaration Fee £20 per Team.

The winning team will receive the BAGGRAVE CHALLENGE TROPHY. The DICK CROSBY MEMORIAL TROPHY, donated by Robert Crosby & Mary Maddison, will be awarded to the team member whose riding, in the opinion of the organisers makes the most constructive contribution to his or her team’s success.

Class 3. FUN CLASS - sponsored by PHILIP HARBY ELECTRICAL: Start around 2.30 p.m. For teams of 4, 3 to count. About 1.1/2 miles & approximately 23 fences, height 2’9” to 3’. There will be an Optimum Time based on the speed of a Novice hunter not yet fully fit, and the team nearest to the Optimum Time will win. (See Rule 2b.) For horses/ponies 12.2hh and over, riders 14 and over, or 12 and over accompanied by a team member aged 18 or over.
ENTRY FEE: £40 per Team. Declaration Fee £10

The winning family team will receive the GEOFF PERFECT TROPHY
The winning Riding Club team will receive the SELBY CHALLENGE TROPHY, donated by David Selby.

NOTES:

  1. PLEASE NOTE THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES AND THAT NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. (ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN AT THE ATHERSTONE EVENT ON SUNDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER.)

  2. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT ENTRY FEES.

  3. THE COMMITTEE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ALTER THE TIMINGS AND THE ORDER OF CLASSES ON RECEIPT OF ENTRIES.

  4. PLEASE READ THE GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS WHICH FORM PART OF THIS SCHEDULE.

  5. ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BE MEMBERS OF THE COUNTRYSIDE ALLIANCE, GIVING THEM THIRD PARTY INSURANCE COVER FOR £5M. IT IS ALSO RECOMMENDED THAT THEY HAVE PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE.
