RULES
- Riders MUST wear an approved skull cap ( rec.spec. PAS 015, Std ASTM F1163, bearing quality assurance kite mark or SE1) with the chin strap fastened at all times and back protector (BETA standard) and stock.
- If, at any time before or during the competition, a horse is deemed to be sick, lame or exhausted, it may be eliminated on the authority of the Veterinary Surgeon or another authorised official.
- There are no penalties for refusals, falls etc.
- A time limit will be set for the completion of the course and if a team goes over the limit they will be eliminated and asked to clear the course.
- A panel of judges will be appointed by the organisers to settle any matter that may be in dispute. Their decision will be final.
- In the event of bad weather, etc., the organisers reserve the right to change or alter the course prior to the event. In the event of cancellation, 25% of the entry fee will be retained.
- All teams are to report to the Collecting Ring Steward five minutes before their allocated start time.
- Organisers retain the right to restrict prize money in accordance with entries.
- A deposit of £8 will be charged on numbers. When returned to the Secretary, a refund of £5 will be given leaving a £3 donation towards the cost of excellent first aid.
- The committee reserve the right to refuse any entry without giving a reason for doing so.
- Age as on day of competition.
- Substitutes of riders and/or horses will be permitted up to half an hour before the time at which the team starts. Team Captains must declare their team at the Secretary's Caravan at least half an hour before their stated time to start. Teams are to notify the Secretary if they are not going to compete.
- The Team Cross Country Event is a competition for teams of four horses and riders over a cross country course of approximately two miles. A team of three will be accepted if a fourth member is unavailable.
- Results will be judged by the time taken for the third horse in each team to complete the course in the correct order.
- No horse may compete in more than one team in the Class 4.
- All competitors must have individual personal accident insurance. Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence of the Organisers for which they are held legally responsible, neither the Organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor any representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury, or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, vehicles, contents or accessories or any other person whatever, whether caused by their negligence or in any other way.

- Entry fee in class 3-4 includes levy from championships.
