RULES - THIS EVENT IS RUN UNDER M.F.H.A. RULES
  1. Three refusals at any one fence or five refusals in total will eliminate horse and rider. If they continue their team will be eliminated.
  2. After two falls a competitor must retire. If they continue their team will be eliminated.
  3. If, at any time, before or during the competition, a horse appears to be sick or exhausted, it may be eliminated on the authority of the Veterinary Officer or Official on the course.
  4. Competitors must jump fences in numerical order and leave all red flags on the right and white flags on the left. Any horse taking the wrong course will be eliminated. If an eliminated horse rejoins their team then that team will be eliminated.
  5. Any horse eliminated or retiring must leave the course at a walk.
  6. A time limit will be set for the completion of the Course. Any team whose first three members exceed this will be eliminated and must retire from the course. Any team rider who is overtaken by a member of a following team must retire.
  7. No horse is allowed to start more than once in any class. Horses may compete in two classes.
  8. In the event of a tie the prize money will be divided.
  9. Hunting dress or team uniform must be worn. All team members must wear British Standard crash helmets and body protectors to the current approved British Safety Standards.
  10. Competitors may exercise their horses only in the area provided.
  11. Riders and owners of horses must obey any order or direction given by an Authorised Official of the Event.
  12. The order of running will be drawn and any team or rider failing to start at their appointed time, for any reason will be eliminated and their entry fees forfeit.
  13. The organisers reserve the following rights:-
    1. To cancel or postpone the event for any reason they see fit. In the event of a postponement, no entry fees will be refunded.
    2. Withhold any prize if there are insufficient entries.
    3. Refuse any entry without stating a reason.
    4. Alter the advertised time of the event.
    5. Alter the course or omit any obstacle at any time before or during the competition.
    6. Eliminate any rider or riders not adhering to these Rules or failing to follow the directions of the Officials.
  14. In the event of cancellation, a refund of Entry Fees will be made for all Classes, less an administration charge of £10 per team.
  15. The Organisers and Landowners will not accept any liability for accidents, damage, injury to horses, riders, owners or spectators or any other property whatsoever. All vehicles are parked at owners' risk.
  16. Small children must be kept off the course and under control of a responsible adult at all times.
  17. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
  18. Team Captains must declare their teams at least 30 minutes prior to their appointed starting time and register any change of horse or rider. Teams must report to the Collecting Ring 10 minutes prior to their appointed starting time.
  19. It is a requirement that all participants carry Third Party Insurance for not less than £5 million and it is strongly recommended that all participants have Personal Accident Insurance
