The Grafton Hunt are holding their annual Team Chase and Hunter Trials on Sunday 21st October 2007 at Sulgrave.
The course has been redesigned this year and includes a number of completely new fences to make it more fun for the Novices and Hunter Trials, more challenging for the Open class and to improve the viewing for the spectators.
The event starts with Pairs and Individual Hunter Trials judged over a bogey time followed by Novice, Open and Intermediate Team Chases. The Open class has teams competing from all over the country and, following cancellations and postponements elsewhere due to Foot and Mouth Disease, will be one of the earlier qualifiers to run for new sponsors Humberts, the well-known independent national firm of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents, at their National Team Chase Championships in Spring 2008. It should be emphasised that entries will not be not accepted from the Foot and Mouth disease protected zone and that we are being particularly sensitive to the wishes of our farmers who currently have said they are happy for the event to go ahead. There are no restrictions imposed at present by DEFRA but we will take the precaution of having bio-security measures at all the entrances.
