RULES
- The team chase classes are run under the auspices of the MFHA governing body and are bound by their rules.
- In classes 2, 3 and 4 horses must be 14.2hh or over. In all classes horses and ponies must be 5 years old or older.
- No horse may compete more than once over the team chase courses.
- Each rider must wear the number bib allocated.
- Helmets and body protectors complying with BSI standards must be worn at all times when mounted. Hunting ties are recommended.
- In the event of cancellation 80% of the entry fee will be returned. Entry fees will be refunded to teams withdrawing 48 hours prior to the event.
- Competitors may only exercise in the area provided and will only proceed onto the course when requested to do so by the starter.
- Fences may only be jumped between the red and white flags. Competitors jumping the wrong course will be eliminated.
- After 3 refusals at anyone fence or after a total of 5 refusals on the course a competitor will be eliminated and must leave the course. Riders must retire after a second fall.
- A competitor overtaken by a member of the following team must retire and leave the course.
- Competitors must complete the course on the horse on which they started.
- The organisers reserve the right to cancel any class, withhold the prize money, alter the advertised times, refuse an entry, alter the course before or during the competition and to eliminate any rider for abusing a horse or pony, failing to follow the directions of officials or not adhering to the rules.
- It is a requirement that all participants carry third party insurance of not less than £5m. It is also strongly recommended that all participants have personal accident insurance.

- Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers for which they are legally responsible, neither the organisers nor any representative of the organisers accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, owners, riders, spectators, land, vehicles, contents or accessories or any other person whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence or in any other way.
