Programme

Class 1 Novice Fun Pairs Class
Entry fee: £40 per pair.
Prizes:
Prizes in Kind 1st to 4th Rosettes to 6th place
Special Rules: Pairs to ride to an undisclosed optimum time (Fair hunting pace).
Hunting dress with approved skull caps to be worn.
Course: Approx 1.25 miles with Dressing Fences and Pen (see Rule 3 for penalties).
Height approx 2'9" to 3'3".
Horses/Ponies:
To be over 13.2hh and 5 years or over Riders: 12 years and over
Special Prizes: Best Meynell & South Staffs (not placed in the first four)
   
Class 2 Novice All Comers Team Chase (Young and Old!)
Entry fee: £80 per team.
Prizes:
Prizes in Kind 1st to 6th Rosettes to 8th place
Special Rules: Teams to consist of three or four members to ride to an undisclosed optimum time (Fair hunting pace). Third team member to count.
Special Prizes: Best MSSH Hunt Team (not placed in the first four) - Best Ladies - Best Over 50’s - Best Family - Best Riding Club - Best Visiting Hunt (no team may win more than one prize)
Special Prize: Best Young Entry team. The Henry Jeffery trophy will be awarded to the highest placed Meynell Pony Club Team.
Course: Approx 1.25 miles. Height approx 2'9" to 3'3" with some larger hedges.

Over 13.2hh and 5 years or over Riders: 12 years and over
     Classes 1 & 2 are intended to cater for novice horse/ponies who require cross country experience.
   
Class 3 Open Qualifier for the Team Championship 2009
Entry fee: £120 per team
Special Rules: Fastest Team to complete will be the winner
Prizes:
1st £300 2nd £200 3rd £150 4th £100 Rosettes to 6th place.
Special Prizes: Best MSSH team not placed in the first four.
Course: Course of approx 1.7 miles with no fixed element over 3'9" but some larger hedges.
Horses:
Over 14.2 hh and 5 years or over. Riders: 16 years and over
 
Class 4 The Intermediate Chase
Entry fee: £90 per team
Special Rules: Teams to consist of three or four members - fastest three to count.
Prizes:
1st £110 2nd £80 3rd £50 4th £30 Rosettes to 6th place.
Special Prizes: Best MSSH team not placed in the first four. Best Ladies. Best Family. Best Team with 3 or more riders under 25.
Course: Approx. 1.5 miles.
No Fixed element exceeds 3'6" with some larger hedges.
Horses:
Over 14.2 hh and 5 years or over. Riders: 16 years and over
   

Team Chase Championship 2009
The first two prize winners in Class 3 will qualify for the National Team Chase Championship which will take place on Sunday, 29th March 2009. Should either of the first two teams already have qualified, the qualification will be handed down to the next highest team(s) in the first twelve.
