V.W.H. TEAM EVENT SUNDAY 9th MARCH 2008

RULES FOR THE VWH HUNT TEAM EVENT 2008.

THIS EVENT RUNS UNDER AUSPICES OF THE M.F.HA. GOVERNING BODY,
ALL COMPETITORS SHALL ACCEPT AND BE BOUND BY THESE RULES

  1. Classes 1 & 2 to consist of 3 or 4 horses the fastest 3 to count.

  2. Class 3. Teams to consist of 3 or 4 horses, judged on an optimum time, on the first 3 to finish.

  3. Teams must jump the correct course in numerical order between the marker flags, red on the right, white on the left. Any horse/ horses taking the wrong course will be eliminated.

  4. 3 refusals at any one fence or 5 in total will eliminate the horses and rider. If they continue the whole team will be eliminated.
    Any horse that falls will also be eliminated and must stop competing
    A horse is considered to have fallen when at the same time its shoulders and quarters have touched either the ground or the obstacle, or when it is trapped in a fence in such a way that it is unable to proceed without assistance or is liable to injure itself.


  5. Any eliminated horse must leave the course at a walk.

  6. Any team not completing the course within 10 minutes will be eliminated.

  7. If at any time, before or during the competition, any horse that appears to be exhausted, lame or being treated in an unsuitable manner will be eliminated by authority of the veterinary officer, or any official on the course.
  8. No horse or pony may compete more than once.

  9. Bibs will be issued at the secretary’s desk for a £10 deposit, please return a.s.a.p. after your round.

  10. Each team is given a start time, please be in the collecting area 10 mins before your time.

  11. Crash hats and back protectors complying with current safety standards must be worn.

  12. It is a requirement that all participants must have third party insurance for not less than £5m. It is also recommended that all participants have personal accident insurance.

  13. The judge’s decision will be final at all times; any objections must be lodged with the secretary within 10 minutes of the end of the class.

  14. Competitors must only exercise their horses in the areas indicated.

  15. Competitors enter at their own risk; the organisers and landowners will not accept any liability for accidents, injuries or theft to horses and riders and their associated property, please ensure your vehicle and valuables are secure before leaving them.

  16. For safety reasons the organisers reserve the right to; alter the advertised start times, alter the course, change or leave out any fences before or during the competition. Any changes to the course will be announced over the p.a. system and starting stewards will inform all teams.

  18. We regret, no refunds of entry fees will be given after the 1st. of March 2008.

  19. In the event of the cancellation of the whole event 50% of entry fees will be refunded. If the event is postponed no refunds will be given. If any one class is cancelled 50% of entry fees will be refunded.

  20. The organisers and officials reserve the right to refuse entry or eliminate any competitor not adhering to these rules.

  21. All dogs must be kept on a short lead!!

  22. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times

  23. Please take all your litter home especially plastic tape for boots!! This is a working farm.

THE HUMBERTS ACCUMULATOR SERIES
Points are awarded for placings down to 6th in each open and intermediate class in competitions held this spring and autumn, prizes will be awarded at the Cotswold event 2008.
