BELVOIR TEAM CHASE SCHEDULE 2009


Class 1. HUNTER TRIAL PAIRS. 2’9 - 3ft ( 85-92 cms)
Hedges may be slightly bigger

Start 9.30 a.m.
Course details : 1.1/2 miles & approximately 23 fences. RED Numbers
There will be a “Bogey Time” based on the speed of a Novice hunter not yet fully fit, the pair nearest to the Bogey Time will win.

For horses & ponies 12.2hh and over.
Riders must be aged 12 years & over as of the date of competition, or if under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a person aged 18 or over.
Minimum age limit 10 years old.

ENTRY FEE: £ 35 per Pair. ( time of second horse to count )
PRIZES: in kind Rossettes to 8th place


Class 2. HUNTER TRIAL SOLO (Novice) 2’9 - 3ft ( 85-92 cms)
Hedges may be slightly bigger

Start Time Approx 10.15 a.m.
Course details : 1.1/2 miles & approximately 23 fences, RED Numbers
There will be a Bogey Time based on the speed of a Novice hunter not yet fully fit, the rider nearest to the Bogey Time will win.

For horses & ponies 12.2hh and over.
Riders must be aged 12 years & over as of the date of competition.

ENTRY FEE: £ 20.
PRIZES: In kind Rossettes to 8th place


Class 3. HUNTER TRIAL SOLO ( Open ) over Team Chase Novice course
YELLOW numbers 27 fences 3ft-3’6 ins ( 95-7cms )

Start Time Approx 3.30 p.m.

For horses 14.2hh and over and riders aged 14 and over as of the date of competition.

ENTRY FEE: £ 20.
PRIZES: In kind Rossettes to 8th place

Please note that Class 3 will follow Class 6, in the afternoon

Class 4. FUN CLASS.

Start Time Approx 11 a.m. For teams of 4, 3 to count.
Course details : 1 1/2 miles & Approximately 23 fences, height 2'9" to 3'.
RED numbers.
There will be a Bogey Time based on the speed of a Novice hunter not yet fully fit, the team nearest to the Bogey Time will win.
For horses & ponies 12.2hh and over.
Riders must be aged 14 years as of the date of competition, or if under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a person aged 18 or over.
Minimum age limit 10 years old.
ENTRY FEE: £50 per Team.

The winning team will receive the STRUTT & PARKER CHALLENGE CUP
The winning family team will receive the GEOFF PERFECT TROPHY
The first Hunt team will receive the Arden Family Trophy
The winning Riding Club / Pony Club team will receive the
SELBY CHALLENGE TROPHY, donated by David Selby.

SPECIAL PRIZES (subject to sponsorship) One special prize per team.

Class 5. INTERMEDIATE CLASS.

Start Time Approx 1:30 p.m. Course details : 1 3/4 miles & 29 fences.
Approximate height 3’6’’ to 3’9”’. For teams of 4, 3 to count.
BLUE numbers
For horses 14.2hh and over, riders aged 16 and over as of the date of competition.
Fastest time wins.

ENTRY FEE: £95 per Team.**

Rosettes to 8th place

The winning team will receive the CHANDLER CHALLENGE TROPHY.
The DICK CROSBY MEMORIAL TROPHY, donated by Robert Crosby & Mary Maddison, will be awarded to the team member whose riding, in the opinion of the organisers makes the most constructive contribution to his or her team’s success.


Class 6. THE NOVICE CLASS.

Start Time Approx 2.30 pm. For teams of 4, 3 to count.
Course details - 1 1/2 miles & approx 27 fences YELLOW numbers
INVITING fences, height approximately 3’ to 3’6”.
For horses 14.2hh and over and riders aged 16 and over as of the date of
competition. The fastest team wins.

ENTRY FEE: £85 per Team.**

The winning team will receive the PEARCE CHALLENGE TROPHY and 4 replicas.
The first BELVOIR team will receive the BELVOIR TROPHY
SPECIAL PRIZES (subject to sponsorship) limited to one special prize per team :

b. Hunts (subscribers or farmers of one hunt)
c. Riding Club / Pony Club

** Entry fees cover £ 5 Sponsorship Levy to the M.F.H.A.

THE COMMITTEE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ALTER THE TIMINGS AND THE ORDER OF CLASSES ON RECEIPT OF ENTRIES
