National Team Chase Championship 2009

The top two teams in a Humberts “Open Qualifier” at an Open Team Chase following the 2008 Championship (i.e. in late Spring or Autumn 2008 or Spring 2009) will qualify for The Humberts National Team Chase Championship 2009 as of right except where four or less teams start (when there will be a maximum of one qualifier).


In the event that either of the top two teams at an “Open Qualifier” have already qualified for The Humberts National Championship, the criteria will apply to the next best teams. Therefore the top two teams to complete who have not already qualified elsewhere will qualify for the National Championship, provided they finish in the top twelve places of the Humberts “Open Qualifier” event.


Any team competing in the 2009 Humberts National Team Chase Championship may only run under the same name as the team that qualified. Three riders must have satisfactorily completed an Open event since 1 January 2008. The fourth member must be able to demonstrate that he/she is suitably experienced and capable of competing in the National Team Chase Championship. At least two of the team members’ horses similarly must have completed an Open event since 1st January 2008. Riders of the other two horses must be able to demonstrate that their horses are suitably experienced and capable of competing in the National Championship.
