THE V.W.H. 2009 TEAM CHASE RULES.

  1. Classes 1 & 2 are speed classes 3 horses must complete, the fastest 3 to count.
  2. Classes 3 and 4 are judged on an optimum time, the 1st 3 horses will count.
  3. Teams must jump the correct course in numerical order. Between the marker flags. Competitors must keep to the correct side of any marker flags on the course, any horse taking the wrong course will be eliminated.
  4. 3 refusals at any one fence or 5 in total on the course will eliminate the competitor. If they continue the whole team will be eliminated.
  5. Any horse falls will be eliminated, whereby a horses shoulders and quarters have touched the ground/or the fence. The stewards decision is final.
  6. Eliminated competitors must leave the course at a walk.
  7. Any team not completing the course within 10 mins will be eliminated.
  8. Any horse that appears to be exhausted, lame or being treated in an unsuitable manner may be asked to leave the course by the mounted stewards or officials. Their decision is final.
  9. Crash hats and back protecters must be worn. It is a requirement that all competitors have 3rd party insurance for no less than £5m. It is advised that all competitors have personal accident insurance.
  10. Disclaimer of liability: Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers for which they are legally responsible, neither the organisers nor their representatives accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, owners, spectators and their properties whether caused by their negligence or in any other way.
  11. The judges and scorers decision will be final any objections must be made to the secretary within 10 mins of the results being published.
  12. Competitors must only warm up in the marked areas provided. No lunging.
  13. For safety reasons the organisers and officials reserve the right to alter the advertised start times, remove any obstacles and alter the course before or during the competition. Any changes will be communicated over the P.A. system and by the collecting ring.
  14. No refunds will be given in the event of postponement or abandonment due to bad weather or any other unforseen circumstances. If cancelled 60% of the entry fees will be refunded.
  15. Please keep all dogs on a lead.
  16. Please take all litter home or use bins provided. This is a working farm and cattle graze on this land.


START TIMES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY AFTER 7PM ON TEAMCHASING WEBSITE AND WWW.VWH– HUNT.CO.UK.

PLEASE BE IN THE COLLECTING RING 10 MINS. BEFORE YOUR START TIME. NUMBERED BIBS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE SECRETARIES LORRY FOR A DEPOSIT OF £10.


AMPNEY DOWN FARM IS SITUATED 3 MILES NORTH EAST OF CIRENCESTER ON THE A429 - (FOSSE WAY) NO ACCESS OFF THE B4435 UNTIL YOU GET TO THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS & JUNCTION WITH A429.
