Schedule For Grafton Hunt Team Chase 24th October 2010

 

Class 1 Intermediate Team Chase

This class is designed to suit more experienced hunting teams.  The course consists of approximately 19 fixed fences over a distance of about one and three quarter miles.  The maximum height of fixed obstacles will not exceed 3'9".  Minimum age of riders - 16 years.  Horses must be over 14.2hh.  The competition will be judged over the fastest time.

1st Prize - £150 2nd Prize - £120 3rd Prize - £80
Rosettes to 6th place.
The Gerald Dancer Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the fastest Grafton Team.

Entry Fee £110 per team.

 

Class 2 The Step-up Team Chase*

This class is designed as a stepping stone from Novice to Intermediate. The course will run over a mix of approximately 19 Novice and Intermediate fences over a distance of about one and three quarter miles.  The maximum height of fixed obstacles will not exceed 3'3".  Minimum age of riders - 16 years.  Horses must be over 14.2hh.  The competition will be judged over the fastest time.

1st Prize - £100 2nd Prize - £80 3rd Prize - £50
Rosettes to 6th place.

Entry Fee £90 per team.

 

Class 3 Open Team Chase


Qualifier for The Chesterton Humberts National Team Chase Championships.  The course consists of approximately 21 fixed fences over a distance of about 2 miles.  Minimum age of riders - 16 years.  Horses must be over 14.2hh.  The competition will be judged over the fastest time.

1st Prize - £400 2nd Prize - £250 3rd Prize - £150 4th Prize - £75
Rosettes to 10th Place.
The winning team will also receive The Grafton Hunt Open Trophy.
Entry Fee £130 per team

Prize-giving for the Intermediate, Step-up and Open events

 

Class 4 Novice Team Chase

This class is designed to suit all members of the family. The course consists of approx 17 fences, about one and a half miles long, with a water complex.   Maximum height of fixed fences approximately 2’9”.
The competition will be judged over a bogey time.

Prizes in kind to third place. Rosettes to 6th place
The Ben Humphrey Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the best Grafton Team.

Special prizes for The Best Family Team
and The Best Pony Club / School Team

Entry Fee £80 per team


Class 5 Novice Hunter Trial

This class is designed to suit all members of the family and run under team chasing rules. Run over the Novice course.  The course consists of approx 20 fences, about one and a half miles long, with a water complex.   Maximum height of fixed fences approximately 2’9”.  The competition will be judged over a bogey time. Pairs are invited to compete hors concors only.
Prizes in kind to third place.  Rosettes to 6th place

Entry Fee £22 per horse


*If you have entered this class and, after walking the course, wish to change to the Novice Team Chase, please contact the Hon Secretary who will be at the course on Saturday.
