As part of their generous new sponsorship of the sport of Team Chasing, Messrs. Humberts agreed to sponsor a new competition for Open and Intermediate Teams, which runs throughout the season and concurrently through the existing events – to be known as THE HUMBERTS TEAM CHASE ACCUMULATOR.
Points are awarded on a sliding scale to the first six teams in both the Open and Intermediate classes at each of the 13 Events which are sponsored by Humberts.
The first Humberts Team Chase Accumulator for 2006/2007 commenced with the 2006 Essex and Suffolk Team Chase and will finish at the 2007 Cotswold Team Chase.
A rousing finale to this exciting new competition is expected at Foxcote on 28th October when the prizes for the competition will be presented.
To date six events have already been held in 2006 and 2007, but there are plenty more events still to come this autumn.
Attached are details of:
1. The points awarded to the successful teams at each participating Events.
2. The prize money to be awarded to the successful teams, at the conclusion of the 2007 Cotswold Event.
3. The current leader board now – prior to commencement of the autumn season.
Humberts have generously agreed to sponsor this competition for three seasons, as part of their sponsorship of team chasing. The next competition for 2007-2008 will again commence with the Essex and Suffolk event which this year is on 4th November 2007.
There is still plenty of opportunity to win the competition or move up the ladder this year – so may the best Team win.
