Am still seething with jealousy cos I couldn't ride... oh well, next season <_<

Great to meet you all today - well done, Cunning Stunts, thought we'd let you take the laurels this time as we are incredibly generous etc etc . . .

;) Oh, ok, so we really sort of "lost" two members and somehow ended up finnishing as a pair.....!! Watch out next time, though!

Anyway, good time had by all, managed to ply some of you with the gin, but where was BUCKO????

Was he hiding? Is he real? Well, man or myth he owes me a taste of his homemade damson vodka!

What was happening as we left - saw an ambulance as we were getting towed out, was it all ok?

P.S Bucko, if those rider-frightener bogey fences weren't too much for you our local ponyclub is looking for more members, nothing over 2' so you should be ok although Tony says that you must have a neck strap just in case.

:D lol, the elusive mr bucko wasn't seen by any of us Emma,Tony reckoned he'd spoken to him but i saw hide nor hair of him all day!!

We had a visit from the air ambulance, but no news of the patient. It was that nice pallisade after the step up again...they took it out afterwards........

Thanks for the toddy, Em.....was just what we needed after our early morning jaunt round!! :P

The cunning stunts were blessed with a clean course and we had an excellent run, although i've been instructed to stop approaching the fences in a 'show-jumping' straight line!! Ah well, i'm still a novice at this game.....

P.S liked yer colours, bad habits!!

Sue

Yes had a fab time & GR8 to meat you guys. :P

Looking forward to the spring season with a much fitter nag from hunting to pick up the pace a bit. (Yes I am also guilty of showjumper checking into fences too, however try a few jump off angles at fences they look impressive - even if you can't stop). Plus riding a show jumper means you can pick the best ground right at the edge of the fence and cut corrners in the process - or so the theory goes !!! (Yes thats breaks permitting) ! :(

Hope you guys venture North in the Spring i'm sure we can find a few stables n beds if need be or was that Tents Em ???? Talking of which why can't we extend the season longer as electric fencing corals for the nags n lorries/tents would mean some excellent end of season parties !!
Doing displays all summer I do this regually and roilling into your lorry on an evening is a very pleasent experience. :)

PS I don't think Bucko exists - either that or the 2ft 6" course was a bit big for him !!

PPS Am staying North in future as at least most of our team chases have bars and a proper hog - not a bloody piglet !!

Take care

Sue

PPPS Good luck to the guy/girl with the fall at No11 n thanks to the Readyfield for a well organisised day n a cracking course.

 How many glasses of wine, Sue - your spelling has gone up the wall!! :P

Dragging you over the opens next time, will lend you a blindfold

Bucko has gone AWOL on us. Perhaps he decided we would be too much to handle :D See he hasn't come on line tonight, do you think he's still on the course??

Come on Bucko, we're gonna keep baiting you until you bite..... ;)

burty
07-11-2004, 09:41 PM
;) yup Bucko, and mebbe we'll like it if you DO bite...lmao!!

Hello! Really fun day! Thanks Emma for all your organisation, driving etc! :D

My brakes definitely need rethinking! (I should stop saying that now - think I mentioned that now well known fact a couple of hundred times after I finished!)

(Can any one suggest any bits/braking methods stronger than an american gag? Going to try a cherry roller version but any additional suggstions will be much appreciated!!)

I'll publicly apologise here to our team for cutting up our lead rider numerous times and taking a diverted course twice to try and regain control! oh dear! Little hooligans are me and my hos! Will get these brakes sorted for next outing!! -_-

Tori

Speak up, Tony, don't be shy, where WAS Bucko today??

tony
07-11-2004, 10:06 PM
The elusive Bucko was sighted on foot during daylight hours but only got on his horse as darkness enveloped him.(he is obviously shy ladies)
Someone should take his rosette off him though. The Baby Forge Flyers were last to run and did the class as 2 pairs, Bucko streaked off into the distance and left Debbie Topping and Jack her son to trundle round together.
I put them on the stopwatch, Bucko and mate beat Debbie and Jack by 1min 45 secs, which got them placed!!!
Had a great day only slightly spoiled by getting stuck in the box park. Finally towed off at 6.10pm after arriving at 8.15am.
Drink was great though Emma 1. Cracking lead by Burty, went too fast in the bogey time though!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hey Guys

I have just walked through the door, have bedded down 4 horses and driven for 3 hours :(

Bucko was spotted during daylight hours ;) I got up late, left 1hour 30 mins later than expected :) Arrived at 13.15 and saw Tony, he told me that everyone was by the drop hedge but I had to walk the course. Then went to look for lorry with Makin Gin written on the side of which was not there. GONE HOME,........ :(

Yes I am real ;) and No I am not shy B) BUT I was embarassed, I left without Damson Vodka

I have to admit the bogey time fences were HUGE!!!!! :o
Not sure if I could progress any further, you lot doing the Intermediate Class must be either very brave or very stupid :o I will need some lessons of you guys if I am going to carry on this hairy sport :P

One good thing did come out of today, I sold a horse to one of the Hairaisers, I did offer it earlier to anyone, but there were no takers. His name is Easby Blue just watch this horse in the spring. ;)

Tony is right, we rode in the dark, I needed not to see the sight of those HUGE fences so we opted to go last :o

Bucko

PS If I have to, I will drive to Yorkshire to prove that I exist!!!!!!! ;)

burty
08-11-2004, 09:17 AM
:D burty doesn't do slow, and anyway, had to leave a rosette for bucko, he doesn't get many...lol

And Bucko, the gin was delightful!!! :P

Nicky
08-11-2004, 09:48 AM
Hi Bad Habits!!!

Sorry I was a little slow today - no excuses about brakes, just need a horse with longer legs!

Must try harder next time - if you let me come along again! ;) Will spend the winter practising - shame Bucko sold his horse, I think I now need to be on the lookout for a bigger horse so I can join you guys in the open next time. I will save the horse with short legs for eventing!!

So if you know of any cheap, fast, honest horses for sale (do they exist:rolleyes: ??) Let me know......

Sazzled1
08-11-2004, 10:19 AM
lol... it looks like there's quite a few of us that are looking to move up to the Opens for next season then?!?! Apart from Bucko that is - think the prospect of so many women has probably put him off Team Chasing for life  :P

Burty... you've gotta sort this timing out... lol... too slow in 1 class and show jumping your way round, then going too fast in the other 1!!! Not that the second round would have anything to do with the quick can of lager once you were mounted or anything ;)

Oh, and Sue, the idea of roilling back to my lorry sounds wicked fun - definitely something to think about for next year! :P

Nicky
08-11-2004, 10:25 AM
A strange thing.... There was definately a photographer on fence 17 yesterday (or at least I thought there was, but that may have been something to do with the gin). The photos on sale were from one of the earlier fences. Does anyone have any idea if there was more than one company there and if they have a website? :)

tony
08-11-2004, 11:03 AM
Jeannie Clark was taking piccies, presumably for Equestrian Life the midlands mag.

Louise
08-11-2004, 02:28 PM
You lot are definately mad! But do any of you come down south? I'm looking to do some spring team chases but I'm in Bristol area, did go up to cotswold with Nicki not sure wot of the others are within approx 2hrs of me?!
Louise :)

Bucko
08-11-2004, 02:42 PM
So many women is certainly not a problem, ;)

It's just the step up in class from the bogey time, don't think I can rub shoulders with you guys    :o

Burty, thanks for leaving a rosette for me, it's now my pride and joy hanging above the fire in the lounge  I have even had to move a picture of my dog so that the rosette is a focus point :P

Tori, I had a horse with no breaks, I tried everything. The only thing that worked was, I took a grakel noseband to my local saddler had 4 pieces of elastic attached for each piece of leather that entered and exited the cross over on the nose, I used a fulmer copper roller using the attachments for the cheek pieces, this did not give me total control but very easy to steer and allows a check. Hope it works for you

Awaiting call from AtB, should you be worried Sazzled????????????? :o :o :o

Apart from, :o You have just moved back home after living in sin in Oakham :o

I will post snipits frequently

Emma 1
08-11-2004, 08:07 PM
Yes, please post frequent snippets and expose Sazzled, she seemed so sweet and after all we're all friends here and anything shared is halved etc...

Got the pics from J Clark, Nikki, nice one of Blue, the only one where he doesn't look taller than the fence! Can i order a copy from her?

Bucko / Tori, seen those nosebands a couple of times before, Helen Bell uses them i think, will rack brains and try to remember who makes them around here, might be Foxes.

Definately up for the opens in spring, oh, new smilie - eek - where'd that come from? Carrot's been playing....

Sue, are you sober tonight??!!

Sorry to miss you Bucko, maybe meet up if you hunt with the Readyfield sometime, have an 11.2 you can borrow, bit feisty but you could probably handle it if i put it in a gag and on the leadrein...... :D

tony
08-11-2004, 09:32 PM
Looking at the finishing times:

Cunning Stunts 5.27 - very respectable
Bad Habits 6.30 - very poor

At sixty miles an hour thats just over a mile

:D

Bucko
08-11-2004, 09:40 PM
At 60 miles an hour thats 5.5 and 6.5 miles eek 1 mile per minute :D

burty
08-11-2004, 10:07 PM
 seems like Bucko's better at maths than teamchasing, glad i'm in your team tony!!

And i hadn't noticed the bad habits were SO far behind us, you up for the challenge next time ladies???? :P

Bucko
08-11-2004, 10:22 PM
You may laugh :D and scoff  that I had to compete in the bogey class, BUT, :o Would all you internet chasers like to place a wager on next years performances????????? Lets put some hard earned cash where your fingers are

Let me know if your up for a challenge ;)

It will be like taking candy from babies

Bucko

burty
08-11-2004, 10:24 PM

Sazzled1
08-11-2004, 10:30 PM
ahem... did I miss something here... are we putting wagers on team chasing performances - or Bucko's performance when he catches up with some of the ladies in here... eek eek eek

Guest
08-11-2004, 11:06 PM
definitely a wager! Bcos the reason bad habits were so late was because I had to circle a few fields to regain control! We'll whip your arses next time! (that might be the wine speaking!)
Just had a phone call from my mum - she wanted to know if we met the elusive 'Bonzo, Bozo, Boozer umm....'

Tori

Bucko
08-11-2004, 11:21 PM
Wine or not, the gauntlet has been accepted :D

Any more takers, come on Burty your never this quiet :D

What does everyone think the wager should be??? <_<

Start posting

Fancy a run out near Ipswich on Sunday Bucko, trying to put a team together!
Thats why we've both been a little quiet.

Bucko
09-11-2004, 12:29 AM
It's too far for me four and a half hours :(

Going out with Marron Bloodhounds this Sunday :) But if the ground is bad will try for the Readyfield :)

Sorry Tony it really is tooooooooooooooooooooooooo far :(

How about the challenge in the spring  Are you up for a wager <_<

burty
09-11-2004, 08:26 AM

I was taking pictures of the Open and mid - late novices for a Regional magazine - they will be available to view on this site in a couple of days.

Sazzled1
09-11-2004, 08:44 AM
Ok then, this wager... how about the team that comes last, has the ride the last chase of the season in their Tesco's finest?! eek That should make for some competitiveness... :P

We'll need to come up with a suitable scoring system that accommodates people at different levels, but I'm sure we can manage that!

Bucko
09-11-2004, 06:38 PM
The team that loses won't do it

How about <_< The team that wins gets all it's entries paid by all the teams in the competition <_< That will make everyone go faster, won't it TORI :o Your breaks won't be necessary then

Bucko

Sue
09-11-2004, 06:41 PM
Yes I am sober tonight Em and YES the Bad Habits are up for a wager. After all I guess we get the best odds now from our opening performance. Lull them into a false sense of security - thats what I say !
And as Bucko has already stated his interest in naked team chasing - this may well be the solution. :D

Oh yes got another offer from Tracey if we need a rider, she's pretty thorough at body searches and likes playing with her handcuffs Bucko so I should be worried if I were you !! There again she's a dab hand with a sword, lance and revolver (all on horseback & at speeeeeeed) from what i've seen too so I would'nt recommend anyone upsetting her.
And you thought the rest of us were mad eh ! :o

Sue

(Just off to buy some Apple Catchers..etc...... just in case).

Emma 1
09-11-2004, 09:37 PM
GGRRRR!!!

Just caught up with the posts, gauntlet down and accepted, Tony, my boy, duel at dawn (or Spring), wager what you will (house deeds, car or cash acceptable)

Sue, well done, lulled them into a false sense of security by deliberately losing half of team, now we can screw them all out of some dosh..... ;)

Exception is Bucko, his performance will be measured out of the saddle, methinks..... :D :o

Really must invest in something to keep me entertained on a night and not requiring too many batteries, this is getting out of hand. B)

Sazzled1
09-11-2004, 09:41 PM
lmfao!!!!! eek eek eek eek eek

perhaps a mains adaptor? You can get them for cordless clippers - I'm sure you can convert it?!?!?! ;)

Bucko
09-11-2004, 09:49 PM
Emma, you can measure my performace out of the saddle anytime, but, a bet is a bet and I will complete my performance in the saddle :D

Emma 1
09-11-2004, 09:49 PM
imfao ?

What the hell does that one stand for??!

burty
09-11-2004, 09:51 PM
 now come on ladies, don't lose sight of the goal here......

Mebbe the infamous 'Bucko' is female and shy?? It seems strange that he avoided us AND the gin on sunday, mind you...I went back for a top up from the makin ginmobile... to be told the bottle was last seen being carried round the course but only the dregs were left!!? Is this true, Em?? did you drown your sorrows in both bottles??? eek :P

Emma 1
09-11-2004, 09:51 PM
Bucko - spoilsport :P

tony
09-11-2004, 09:54 PM

Emma 1
09-11-2004, 09:59 PM
Actually we had 3 bottles but ended up taking one home because of other team members not turning up....(ahem, person beginning with B)

Is Bucko female? Well, perhaps he should post a photo to prove it...!!!

tony
09-11-2004, 10:01 PM
If you typed it with an L and not an I we might have a chance!
While were on typing if you want to slow down you need BRAKES, if you fall off you'll have BREAKS.
Oh by the way the airlifted girly was fine!

NOT I repeat NOT shirt lifter or woman B)

Sazzled, you can talk to who you like, My mouth may be big but I do come trousers first and I have never run away from anyone :P

Emma, you get that mains adapter, :P I love toys ;)

All who own a rabbit or a stimulator own up :P Every girl should own one ;)

Really pleased the girl who was airlifted was ok, our sport does not need bad press :)

And Bucko, what are your kids doing up til that time?? I think thats just an excuse, does it take THAT long to think up a witty reply?? B)

Bucko

She loves me :) Unlike you lot, :(

Ok, so we need to find out who else knows Tori that can tell us all about her! Since that appears to be the way it works round here... :P yes that is one hefty feline in there Bucko, but its bound to become obvious to most at some point or other!!! eek

So then... since you seem to have an impressive knowledge of toys, you either own 1 yourself, or Emma1's right about you being a girl... ;) lol

Bucko
10-11-2004, 01:26 PM

Sazzled1

Actually still don't know that much about Tori myself so can't dish up the dirt. Maybe i'll make something up just to get her on here! :P

She comes armed with damson gin though, so that's a big plus (christ, we didn't drink all of it did we? I drove but felt totally sober, though do remember swigging from the bottle as we rode back to the box...but it was medicinal, honest, i felt soooo crap that day it was the only thing keeping me in the saddle)

Saw that Jeannie Clark had put the photos on this site, then they suddenly vannished. Slightly worried i was hallucinating eek again...

Ned looks lovely! Was this taken at the Readyfield? When does the schedule come out for the spring season - I like to be prepared :D

On a more serious note, I've just been savaged by a cock and I've not got a bloody ankle cos I didn't have my wellies on :( hmm, don't think it requires stitches, but it definitely requires several glasses of wine (medicinal, of course  )

Sympathy this way please

poor u! get yourself a drink! I was going to mention something about connotations but decided to let that one lie.

Pic was at Readyfield, my friend who came with me - Tom, think you met him?- took some pictures and sent them to me. B)

Not sure about spring calender but I'd like to know as well.

Like Bucko's pic - have you seen it? I'd love to try p2ping! Wouldn't know how to go about getting involved tho!

lol... ironic, I know  anyway, thats not what I call sympathy - play nicely :P

That pic can't be you - that almost looks like a decent sized fence - not the pony club things you're usually seen playing over!

Based on last year this is the order for spring dates:

TAUNTON VALE FOXHOUNDS TEAM CHASE
BADSWORTH AND BRAMHAM MOOR HUNT
BURTON HUNT CROSS COUNTRY TEAM EVENT
HEYTHROP HUNT TEAM EVENT
THE WILTON HUNT
YORK & AINSTY (NORTH) HUNT TEAM EVENT
THE FERNIE TEAM CHASE
YORK & AINSTY (SOUTH) HUNT TEAM CHASE

Starting around the last week in Feb, but The Heythrop, Wilton & York & Ainsty North all ran on the same day. (Only the Heythrop is a qualifier out of these three)

Good pic Tori :)

My pic was taken on a very very very scary day for me  Never will I jump fences as big as that again

Emma, give us that address for your local Pony Club ;)

Hope you don't mind me butting in! The photos that I took have now appeared again in the Autumn gallery after their mysterious disappearance (don't blame me, I haven't a clue!).

Tori, glad to see you like your picture - any idea what the little C in a circle means?

Hopefully I will be able to get some good shots next year - I was there for Equestrian Life magazine this time.

I would really love to know what sort of pictures you guys really want - obviously something that makes it look as if you're jumping 7ft hedges and drops of at least 10ft (yeah yeah I've heard the stories!). Do you prefer an individual shot, or with other team members? Sideways, head on - or just at the discretion of the photographer.

Appreciate any comments to my email address - info@jeannieclark.co.uk so as not to give the others a clue!!

Tony will vouch for me - I'm an ex-Bored Housewife and Fiddler - but my mad grey did a tendon last year and so is just coming back into walk work now (thank God I've got an excuse not to have to do the Opens!!

Bucko

Can you make the fences in the Bogey class look as big as the Open <_<

I really need some pic's :D

Hi Jeannie - I live just up the road from Dee - the pic you got of us at the Pytchley was fab! :D

Bucko... maybe you could use the trench to hide from us all in again! Might save you from being mauled by a group of 'ladies' ( ahem) that Team Chase!!! eek

Jeannie
11-11-2004, 08:52 PM
thanks, Sazzled - it was easy to get a good picture at that huge drop!

tony
11-11-2004, 10:10 PM
Hes not wrong, now where are we having the big showdown.
I suggest the Burton cos its in Lincoln, and if we can all make it to Newark we should be able to get there.
We neeeed a trophy, any suggestions.
Also its got to be your own team, that means no hitching a ride with the Forge Bucko(as if you would cheat)

Emma 1
11-11-2004, 10:14 PM
Tori, need to kick some SERIOUS ass starting Feb - have cunning plans that include nitrous to beat the others.....don't bother with the cherry roller, you won't be needing brakes!!! :D

Gauntlet down, everyone, what's the prize??? ;)

Bucko

Emma 1

Are people doing opens or other classes?
We need a points system depending on where we get placed per class to make it fair, then maybe tally up at the end of the season and meet up to have a huge huge party.
Any ideas / comments?

tony
11-11-2004, 11:16 PM
Sorry Emma, just trying to get myself upgraded and be a proper member.(lurk too much)
Back to the point, the Burton TC is an allcomers, smaller than the Readyfield Intermediate with smaller options for wimpier riders at the larger fences. Be fun to see someone in the dyke!
Its not a qualifier so the big boys wont be there.

Emma 1
11-11-2004, 11:21 PM

I'll be at the Badsworth if I'm not pointing.

Emma 1
11-11-2004, 11:37 PM
Are you going to do the open? Did the other class last year, the open looked quite big, may have to bribe people to do it with me....

tony
12-11-2004, 12:08 AM
No, will leave the open to the forge, nigh on unbeatable round there.

Bucko
12-11-2004, 06:28 PM
Can't go to the Burton :( Warwickshire on same day and is a qualifier :(

Burton sounds great for me though :P Wimpier options :)

Given my shetland a hair cut ready for next season, looks really good. The best thing is I didn't have to stand on a chair to clip her haid and ears

There is only one way for this challenge to work and that is if we all enter the same class and use a points system the same as the Total Recall Accumulaor ;)

Won't bet about tonight going to sisters to fill my face  Sisters a piss head too,

Emma, ;)

Hi Gang,

I have received a proposed set of rules for discussion with regards to the ‘Inter Forum Challenge Trophy’. Bet you going to start taking bets on who’s proposal it is. Well only two of us know for sure!!

Please see the attached Word Document for these rules.

Couple of thoughts from me, is 7 events enough and should the Fernie National Championships be a compulsory event and also treated as a spring social gathering?

Your thoughts!!!!!!!

Bucko,

Your spelling is worse than mine unless "Haid" is unique to Shropshire or Shetland's have an extra part to their anatomy that i have never heard of (serves you right for taking the p**s when i forgot my 'e') :P

You've No excuse for not entering Burton now the Warwickshire isn't a qualifier - but you are not allowed to arrive after dark when i've gone home!

Hi there!

Just reading the first page on this forum and you were talking about the air ambulance turning up at the Readyfields... well that was me in there!

I like to do things in style! Got a few broken ribs, and the mare isn't the best, poor girls damaged her nerve endings in her shoulder, so she's on absolute box rest, then physio's working on her next week. Fingers crossed. :(

Sorry I caused such a hold up on the day. I hope you all got round ok... lucky sods, can't believe I caused that damn palisade to be taken out, they could of scrapped it before I went round!

Big thanks to Mick and Emma for coming all the way up to Nottingham Queens hospital to look after me! And thanks Emma for causing me severe pain when you made me laugh when I put your dad's jeans on! Thanks loads again.

I hope noone else came so much of a cropper like me on sunday, wish I'd been able to get round the whole course, it was great!

Jo (SAYER, not SLAYER as h & h said!) ;)

tony
12-11-2004, 11:10 PM
Glad you're ok Jo, but I knew already (hospital talk)
That palisade was hit by virtually every horse that jumped it, it was an accident waiting to happen, you were just unlucky.
Ordinary ambulance couldn't reach you, stuck in the mud, free helicopter ride!
If you want a good physio (human or equine) email me and I can give you numbers, depends where you live for human ones!)

regarding this new trophy!!! if the fernie championships are a compulsory event that means only qualfied open teams will be eligable! or are you going to get permission for intermediates to enter it for this trophy or will there be another speed class running alongside the hunt championships?

Bucko
13-11-2004, 12:38 PM
Hi Mick,

About time you came out of the closet :D

Got all the history on that horse we talked about ;) just need to know how you want it sending <_<

Bucko

tony
13-11-2004, 05:51 PM
The Fernie usually start with a bogey time class over a fair sized track, championships and a hunt class.
If we want to run there we could all do the bogey time as a speed class for our trophy, I'm sure the Fernie won't mind as long as we all pay our entry fees. We could have our presentation in the box park.
Rossettes dont cost much, could be fun.
Go to the photo gallery, spring 2002, Fernie, piccy 2, thats me and those fences aren't 2'6".
Any takers?
Talking of rules, how about condition of entry that you post a team profile on the site and have to run at least 3 of them on the day.(theres no limit to how many you can list in a team profile is there?)

Emma 1
13-11-2004, 06:08 PM
Well, i'm up for that, how about Sue and Tori???

Are there to be two trophies then, one for the Fernie speed class if everyone can go, and one for cummlative points at the end of the season?

Burty, don't forget my beer in the morning, think i'm going to need it after our rather 'steady' round at the Readyfield last Sunday!

I think you should get permission to go in the hunt class at the fernie as it is a better and longer course and from what more challenging and i reckon you are all up for a challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
......... unless of corse you are up for the open. It isn't excessivelly big ... and any one who has already qualified would be able to go in for it as well! I don't think that would be a feasible proposion though. Be greatfull that you have qualified and take another horse in the internet challenge
GO ON MICK ... SEE WHAT YOU CAN SORT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

Been following this converstaion for a while now.

I really need to get some fun back in to my riding.

So..... If any of you need a extra team member for this little challenge I'm up for anything (horse wise)
Someone will need to lend me horse though as my young lad isn't up to it yet.

Must point out that i would look a bit daft on a shetland.....But then again, I can look daft on a 17' Tb

Hello there! Don't know whether I should be admitting to this! Got a bit cocky today out on a hack - couldn't be bothered to open a gate as I was cantering up to it so went to jump it thinking it wouldn't be a problem..... until my horse dropped a foreleg.. thankfully horse is ok but I've just got back from A&E - so won't be doing that again in a hurry! No riding for me for a week or so! Hey but horse might pick his feet up in future! What an idiot I am! He he!

tori
15-11-2004, 12:06 AM
He he! I like hiding! I'm not hiding at the mo tho am I?

Tony you might appreciate this -
hospital waiting room... <_<

Very large lady who's leg has been bitten by her neighbours dog.. told the story of how she beat it off with her expensive chocolate busicuits a good dozen times out loud. Just in case the woman hyperventilating with a shard of glass in her foot or the girl throwing up really want to hear it again. She also liked to tell the nurses that they were bandaging people up completely the wrong way. When her husband left saying he was going for steak and chips she quipped that her leg would probably taste better. ^_^

Then there is the drunk guy who keeps getting up, stumbing over and falling on me. Nurse asks him how much he has had to drink - he jus says 'urm.. loads'.

Then there's the annoying squealing kid who wants chocolate from the coffee machine and screams and crys when he/she (couldn't quite figure it out) can't have it.

There's always the people who want to know if they've been forgotten or how long everyone else has been waiting. <_<

There's the lad in his tracksuit sat there mumbling 'bin int fight like; owtside pub like.'

Oh and then there was the guy carrying the badminton racket who was insisting that his ankle was broken even though the nurse kept explaining that it was sprained. He turned around and said, 'I know more than you, I study medicine' she asked what he studied and he replies 'bowel science'. <_<

On top of that my hangover started to sink in!

sorry had to have a rant! what a lovely day! he he! :(

tori
15-11-2004, 12:16 AM
I'm not too bad tho, bit sore, dizzy (nothing unusual about that tho) and can't walk easily (nothing serious tho - jus ligament stuff and bruising etc) but I'm enjoying the sympathy from my friends! tee hee!

Am a little concerned about being pimped out by my accident prone friend on message board that is new to me, but hey it could be worse!!
Tori was absolutly right, she is less than average at remembering names and ages but will let her off as she was close, oh and by the way perfectly willing to carry alcohol for the Bad habits as nuns are not allowed to drink, so had to consume most of it myself ;) ;)

Bloody hell Tori, that doesn't sound good! Oh well, at least you had the sense to wait until after the end of the season before you started trying to impersonate Superman!
