Soooo...which of you that frequent these pages went to the Meynell? I saw the Court Flyers teams, the Derby Daytrippers, Wacky Racers and ourselves, the Cunning Stunts... :D

Give your team a plug, then we can watch out for you! thumbup

Most of the runners came home safely, although Rosie Vestey took a cracking fall from an upsidedown horse at the 4th last and knocked herself out. Horse and rider both looked ok, if a little sore :) Any news on her?

Good to see everyone again, it seems we're not the only ones running new team members, i saw a lot of different riders there! Best comment was in the warm up from a Tripper.....only words she said to me were 'I feel sick' Hey, it gets us all like that ;)

Thanks to Mac, found off this very forum, who ran with us in his first teamchase, having never even seen the sport before!

One last thing, did the third horse for the Odds and Sods really bounce off that fence judges bonnet?? Sounded like it and he took a while getting round the turn. Silly place for a car anyway <_<

I was there, but you knew that cos you followed me round. thumbup

I was surprised how firm the ground was as it chucked it down all day in Melton on Saturday. :(

We did find it a bit slippery but that probably means I lost a front shoe earlier rather than later. eek

Well done for comming 4th in the novice, Stunts thumbup should have entered the open though, you wimps :P  :P

Re the Habits: Sue's horse finally sound and getting fit, plus she has an unfeasibly large 4 year old (you need oxygen equipment to ride at this altitude) due to make bogey debut in Spring. Mine is looking like a racing snake and feels like one. Got a new addition, needs fittening but makes Murphy Himself look like a seaside donkey :P . Just trying to work out how to ride two at once. Might have to do the splits.
Re some lack of entries in the open: early start to the season isn't favourable to anyone that's just spent weeks in a combine. Gotta make a living.
No Northern action planned until Spring. Expect that we'll have lulled you all into a false sense of security by then
Until then, good luck. best of British and kick on

Ps Sloe season nearly here so Habits will be superbly fit running around doing their own version of harvesting :D

You'll just have to join us on foot then Emma, with the gin ;)

Will pass your wuss remark on to Mac, he'd never seen teamchasing before and we thought it a good idea to give him a quiet run before we scare him over the opens! He's not a wuss i can assure you, and his hearing is good, he managed to catch every comment i threw his way when we were jumping! B) Did i say quiet run?? thumbup

Dear Emma,

We would have entered the open but were trialling a new member(Mac) he seems as mad as us,but it would have been very unfair to put him in an open first time out, we will be running opens from now on thumbup

:D posted that comment in good humour, glad to see you took it as such (you wimps :P )

Mind you, think you should have thrown the wild card in the deep end - after all, we all met at the Badsworth, and wasn't that an open teamchasing "baptism by fire...!!!"

Good memories, though, hope to catch you up soon (preferably to overtake you :D )

Also, have fit horse, bit on a limb re teams this autumn so give me a bell if you're short.

;)
