Well what a time for our message board to go up in flames, just before the first team chase of the new season!

For those who didn't brave the elements (mud mud & more mud) to watch or compete you missed a good day out.

Every lorry and trailer was towed on and off the mudbath, we were being towed on sideways and i had to warn the tractor driver that we were about to take out one of the other tractors

The commentary box is a caravan raised in the air, lucky it wasn't windy this year.

Course is fairly small but jumped a bit bigger as the ground was somewhat poached on take off.

The Bad Habits couldn't decide who should lead over fence 5 (so noone did), Buck Flair despite talking the talk in the 2 weeks prior to the event found their lorry didn't like Yorkshire and one of their horses didn't steer very well at the water.
Tom came 3rd and 4th with cracking rounds leading the Roughnecks and the Bees, just a shame he couldn't get 2 riders to follow him home!
The Foxberry Chasers had a good round but were left 8 seconds adrift of the winners.

All in all a good day out, many thanks to the organisers for continuing when others would have thrown in the towel, they even had to get a roadsweeper to clear the A168 of mud from the lorries and tractors.

Oh by the way WE WON, The Cunning Stunts were great, just fast enough to push the teams below us into mistakes but slow enough to be safe.

Well done stunts, but come on you should know the game by now you only need THREE to count, its much more fun if one takes a dive:D.
Sorry Emma1 you should have asked me what fence i was going to be at ;) only managed to get your muddy face at a later fence:D

Well done Stunts - was worth the trip !
Makes a change on the trophy from Wasp domination.

Bad Luck Flair - tho well done for making it up north despite fighting lorry and a Northerly head wind.

Habits unfortunatly had quite a few steering and control problems, (sorry Em for trying to squash you to death at fence 2), leader tried to miss fence 4 completly and then Friday Horse decided he would stop, to put on make up and pose for the photographer at fence 5 causing rather embarresing concertina effect, much cursing and growling. Only managed to avoid it by pure luck, good horse (& and a big kick-on) only to turn and see team mates stood still - immediate thought was that they had stopped for Wasp's deviously planted Gin and not told me!!
Cant wait to see Photographers pics as they will be most embarressing with two horses sat ON the chair and me doing worst suvival cat leap ever - was most determined not to fall off Em's neddy as she would never speak to me again.

However we do have a perfectly good explanation - no red stuff !!
Can't believe we did a team chase without any passing our lips - and the results speak volumes - admit being at fault for leaving it all in the boot of my car and am presently brewing large quantities now so as to never repeat !

Congratulations to the Stunts and I am sorry that I could only bring you a dribble of the red happy juice to help your celebrations. I only stopped at the Habits wagon for a moment and it vanished.
