Quiet on the boards, but there again it's winter and no teamchasing for another 9 or 10 weeks. Busy my end hunting whenever i can (got to cope with a full time job now, very inconvenient, seem to be working for some kind of t'internet company).

The grey is sold so down to one horse for Spring. Discovered barley has amazing Ferrari effect - 0 to 60 in minus 2 seconds but needs parachute type device to bring back to a standstill. Burty, if you're still up for some team action in Spring i may meet you comming backwards at this rate. :D

How are the p2p plans comming on? I have found some handy local gallops (Sue Smith) that are luckily circular so can go round endlessly with fixed grin, pretending i am in complete control and mean to do at least a dozen circuits.

How is hunting with all you lot? Luckily we have no real anti brigade so we carry on pretty much as normal. Nice.

Anyway, roll on Spring, well done Zara though i would have voted otherwise, considering, but good publicity for eventing.

PS my jumping juice has matured nicely, Burty. Whip into shape your teetotal partner was is trying (unsuccessfully) to portray the Stunts in a sober light :p at the Pytchley, we have a reputation to uphold and like the song goes, girls just wanna have fun.....lol

Sober/teetotal moi?

Just like to make sure one of us can drive home without having to shut one eye to stop it all looking blurred.

If you seriously want to p2p borrow one of sue smiths nags for a season!

More girls than boys Greschurch!
Merry Christmas to all, good luck in the new year with whatever you partake in.
Pointing now in progress, one Stunt runs on New Year's Eve...but not Tony or I! Have finally completed the paperwork for my rules licence, including playing snap in some private hospital:D At least they know how bad my memory is before I get concussed... If the steed gets as far as Prestbury Park you're all invited!

Well, Best Of British, Burty for the season. Wish i had the means to join you...:(
Sadly restricted to my humble member's race at Morden with the nag, suspect i will get hooked.....:p
Still had to fork out for a medical just for that, GP charged me £48 - bung that on top of hunt sub qualifications (£300), some Jockey Club thingy and entry (no idea, not paid it yet - how do i go about entering, anyway?) and suddenly eventing fees seem quite reasonable. Lot of money to ride over a few fences but hell, always wanted to give it a go.
Still mythering (Yorkshire for moaning, you Southerners) over using xc saddle - every pic in Nag & Mutt also seems to suggest i should be using a leather postage stamp for the horse, wearing paper jods and boots made from bin-liners. Can i be eccentric and turn up in what i like (though will leave my pipe and fleet of Siamese cats at home)?????

Em, get a race planner, or ring here and we'll give you the entry details. Ride in and on what you feel comfy on, or what you can borrow! I managed a win wearing my normal leather boots, no one noticed and my legs were very un scarred afterwards! New posh ones given me for birthday tho, will now need those tube things to stop the sores:D
You're medical was cheap. I've had two this year, last one cost me £98. He took my blood pressure and a few notes, then told me to collect the sheet later as he didn't have time to fill it in there and then. So why bother booking a time slot?

Merry Christmas to one and all, just leaving work to go and get some grub (and maybe a tipple) Nursing bruises at the mo from new nag... not any of those that are for sale though!

Thanks. Burty, will give you a ring re entries. Maybe you should try my doc for medicals. Spends a lot of time rubbing your knee in a kind of trance-like state, suddenly comes to (or is that: too) and charges half price. :D
