Glad it was a good day, we went to the Burton but it's not the same without you lot!! Ok, i'll say it. We missed you all :p
Well done to the Burton committee though for getting such a good course ready and having lovely, old and very good ground to run on. Sun was out too, such a contrast to last sunday at the Badsworth:D

Yes, it was brilliant. Snapper is a little disappointed that there were no swimmers in the open this year as he took most of his pix at the water.
Injury of the day - probably Nick Fuller, with rather sore ribs after a close encounter with the pheasant coop at the bottom of the hill.
Host Chris Verey takes second place, looking like he'd had a scrap with an angry Tomcat after crashing into his OWN TREES in the intermediate!
Although the chap (and his dog) who got in Sarah Myhill's way when she was leading the Tigers probably still have bleeding eardrums. He won't do that again!
Unprintable comment of the day - sorry Bollocks to Blair, not you this time, Paul Thomason describing the Ha-Ha as a "KLF" fence ie a "kick like ****" (insert your own expletive).
The Red Bull prize - Bryan (surprise, surprise) who went round three times after a night 'pleasuring' the Bicester ladies at the hunt ball!

modesty prevents Burty from telling all and sundry that the Stunts (aka Somewhere Else) won the Burton. Very nice silver jam jar as a prize, too ;)

Well done the stunts!:D
Yes scribbler, saw the Nick fall looked like the horse rolled over him:eek: Cant believe he got to his feet, we all held our breath. looked very nasty. The water was sadly disappointing this year, if i remember right there was a film of ice on it last year.
What is it with Teme Valley and dogs ? Thats the second time in two runs !
Euuugghhh !Red bull  Smells like syrup, makes the stomach turn over and is guaranteed to put you to sleep !!!!:D
I dont think its the red bull that did that ;)

Bad news about the Taunton ! There are loads of peeps desperate for a run before the final
I am gutted bout taunton. On the bright side least Fred will be extra fresh and rearing to go for the Fernie! Make sure you fold your clothes properly before you go to bed! With a mare due to foal any day soon I have taken to sleeping in mine!!

Oooh quick run and get hot water and towels! good luck Daisy im hoping the stork brings you a lovely baby boy ( it will have to be a big stork ) Look on the bright side of the Taunton, at least you wont have the girls ringing you up to rush back cos the heads sticking out:D Will bring my jim jams over and a midnight feast and we can keep watch like the shepherds over the baby Jesus.
Better still, will bring Jack, we can down the bottle, and pass out, by which time daisy wll have done all the hard work. Dont much fancy standing there saying "im not helping much am I "
Not due for 10 days or so so plenty of time to stock up on supplies! Hope its a filly not a colt. Boys are so stupid. Except for Fred of course. And Djef. He is not stupid. Just arrogant, argumentative, disrespectful, reckless, hedonistic. Good job hes not a mare I could never breed from him! BTW it was nicknames not wheel brace!:p

Perhaps I could add to Djeff's description - magnificent! Although if he was a bloke you'd avoid him like the plague....Let us know when Daisy foals so we can wet the baby's head!
And keep Fred wrapped up in cotton wool - can't wait to see him go round the Fernie. Does that mean that Mr Arrogant/Argumentative gets a run at the Heythrop?
Magnificant indeed! Poor Djef, playing second fiddle to Fred must be a nightmare for him. He cut his leg on sunday under the fetlock, the vet came out to the yard when we got back at stupid o'clock on Sunday evening. He has a big bandage and drugs. He particularly likes the drugs. He never seems to feel he has teamchased properly unless he finishes bleeding somewhere! He was excellent on Sunday and I have not really pushed him on the angles and turns yet so there is more to come. I don't know if we are going to the heythrop. It is so close to the Fernie and we dont want to risk breaking any of them and we will need Djef if anything happens to any of the others. Fred is wrapped up in several layers of cotton wool! I would love to take Djef round the Fernie and he wont be needed if the rest of the team is all sound and well so if anyone needs a lead horse we could lend our services.
