Errm....the survival of open events for the next three years at least?
Coombe Farm were not going to do another season...even Rosie's not that persuasive!
If you were an event organiser with a thriving novice and intermediate and no sponsorship for the open, what would you do?

Same as a few have already done, drop the open.
Am pleased a sponsor has been found, i'm just curious about the increased prize money etc etc, seeing as those in charge have been stating that team chasing is healthier and better than ever before. It's one of those time will tell things, entries in all other disciplines have been lower than ever before, mainly due to entry increases and the cost of staying afloat having risen. I'm doing my best to encourage the locals here, even arranged for one of my better clients to buy an ex school horse that I just know will teamchase nicely, and boy is the rider keen! Now, will she get past the first one or will I terrify her??!
