The Master of Hickstead, Douglas Bunn invented Team Chasing in 1974.
Now a hugely popular cross-country equestrian sport with Autumn and Spring seasons.
Fast, furious and perhaps not for the faint-hearted, team chasing is an incredible team sport that thrives on adrenaline.
When you think of team chasing, you envisage the so called ‘thrusters’ of the world charging over huge wide hedges at 100 miles an hour!
However it’s not completely true.
Yes you need a bit of bravery and some courage but the main prerequisite for this sport is a sense of humour and team spirit.
This relatively new and exciting sport allows you to group together with your friends to try and complete a challenge all together.
So gather up your friends and make a team of four riders, pick your event, take a picnic and make a day of it!
ANNOUNCEMENT
Sadly, we must announce that the remaining Spring dates are abandoned.
The Bicester and Worcestershire courses are both waterlogged and the organising teams will be unable to prepare their tracks in time for the two remaining events of the spring season. Thus, after considering all the options, we are reluctantly cancelling both events. The organisers of the Bicester and Worcestershire have very generously offered to refund all entry fees minus the booking fee.
We look forward to our autumn season which kicks off on 1st September at the Warwickshire, and we are pleased to confirm that the Kimblewick has agreed to reschedule to 8th September. We are in discussions to hold one of the spring events on 22nd September, the other currently vacant date on the autumn calendar.
We owe an enormous vote of thanks to our event organisers, to our sponsors and to our highly supportive competitors - our #teamchasingfamily
